Fuji Film Simulations Portrait Examples

Below are a few examples of Fuji Film Simulations used on a portrait photo I took during a wedding in Las Vegas. The photo was shot with the Fuji X-S10 Camera 23mm F 1.4 lens @ F4 1/160s. A Godox V1 flash was mounted on camera and bounced off the ceiling. The Film Simulations were added in Capture One and the photos were uploaded at file sizes between 400kb and 700kb. The first set of photos have not been edited beyond adjustment of exposure and brightness. The second set of photos have exposure, brightness, and some color adjustments made. No retouching of skin or editing of any of the foreground or background was done for these examples. This example portrait was taken with the Fuji X-S10 23mm F 1.4 @ F4 1/160s

Fuji Film Simulations Portrait Examples 1

Images below are from the sim being applied to the Fuji Raw file and have not been color graded or retouched outside of cropping and Exposure and Brightness levels in Capture One.

Fuji Film Simulations Portrait Examples 2

Images below are from the Fuji Raw file and have had color adjusted for reds, oranges, greens and overall saturation (as applicable) to improve the look a little. For Velvia the greens were adjusted. Exposure and Brightness levels were adjusted as well. No other retouching done. All done in Capture One.

Fuji Film Simulations Portrait Examples 3 (SOOC JPEG)

Below, the image below on the left is the SOOC Jpg which was cropped in Capture One. Not other edits. The image on the right is the SOOC Jpeg which was adjusted for reds, oranges, greens and overall saturation to improve the look a little. Since I was shooting in Natural Live view and also purposely underexposed for the raw file, my exposure was a lot lower out of cameral than it would have been if I was shooting directly for the JPEG quality (Natural Live view off).
